He purposed in himself not to defile himself with king’s meat. Do you decide to join the crowd to do wrong? After all people say ‘If you can’t beat them you join them’. Dare to be different. Be committed to do the right thing and you shall be commended by the Lord. Success awaits those that are different. God speaks on their behalf.

Run away from premarital sex, dressings that expose you to rape, drugs that make you lose control and spoilt good character and every appearances of evil. House to House - Youth Tidings from Furaha Contact
By wisdom a house is built [Prov 24:3-4]
A bold move - Are we looking at everything we should be looking at now?
The commandment in scripture states ‘make disciples of all’; this includes the young of all ages everywhere. The scripture reads the harvest is ripe and labourers are few. Because of this reaching out effectively to the youth that are among us with the gospel has taken an impact and had weak progress. Often a large number of these youth are exposed to satanic hold and or influence due to pride, loneliness, fear and or guilt, the scripture reads we wrestle not against flesh and blood but principalities and powers of darkness [Eph 6:12]. Many youth are left to find their own level in an environment where youth temptation can be said to be overheating and competition for youth attention intense. The result for some is a distraction away from heartedly embracing the gospel message and losing out on the benefits of the power intrinsic in it. The scripture reads in the last days, men will be lovers of pleasure rather than of God having a form of godliness but denying its power [Tim 3: 5].
The scripture however, reads His people will be willing volunteers in the day of His power. Jesus Christ has never changed but is the same forever. So have we changed? As he is so are we in this world, indeed we are more than conquerors through Christ [Rom 8:37]. New approaches to acquaint and bring home the gospel message and its power to the youth will have to encounter these challenges in order to succeed in the mission of promoting the gospel of Jesus Christ among the youth in their localities. To this end coupled with the need to co-operate and augment the efforts of existing youth plans in accomplishing this mission and vision for the youth across all localities the Gate House Furaha youth plan discussed below has been embarked on.
The Gate House Furaha project- Who are we and what are we after?
Gate House Furaha (entrance of JOY) is a composite name of English and African origin. There are 2 main messages conveyed by this. The first is that of seeking unity and reaching out to the diverse background community in the UK and EIRE, the scripture reads how good and pleasant it is when brethren live together in unity [ps 133]. Many youth want to belong to a fraternity that crosses the racial divide because they have friends of different backgrounds and wish them to feel welcome and to maintain these relationships while others wish to make new friends.
The second message out of Gate House Furaha (entrance of JOY) is to welcome all youth of different churches to work together as living stones in God’s house [Ep2:19-22] and operate /open the gate who is Christ [Jn 10:7] for the benefit of their generation. That benefit is the joy (Furaha) of the Lord and hope of his salvation that is their strength as they journey like Abraham [Gen15:1] in a dark, troubled and uncertain world.
Our journey - What is the justification?
At Gate House Furaha we believe by successfully pitching a distinct identity one of our needs as youth, both at an individual and corporate level will be met. The sense of belonging and ownership will and is expected to attract interest and motivate us and other fellow youth to take charge of the direction of this generation with regard to the message in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Ultimately a youth gospel culture (fellowship) that mirrors the life of Christ is the goal and we believe a unique ‘customized’ identity is probably a good way of achieving this. This was one of the great achievements of Pentecost exemplified by their devotion [Acts 2:42, 11:26]. Therefore the most important issue for Gate House Furaha shall be to focus on the intended destiny of discipleship through nurturing a Christian culture among the youth in the modern times using this means.
Map –What are the important initiatives?
Principally Gate House Furaha will be involved in relationship construction and engaging at multiple levels. At the individual youth level through the Furaha initiative it shall bridge indicated interests and talent, promoting youth health and support personal development in a Christian context to this end it shall create activities following these objectives. Current composite programs are listed on the Furaha Contact Blog site which can be accessed via the link under the Axis Gate header.
At the corporate youth group level through the house to house Youth Deck and Voyage Generation initiatives, Gate House Furaha shall bridge various youth visions and plans, exchange information and participate in arranging joint events. The Youth Deck initiative serves to enable navigation from the local Furaha Contact piece to the local youth groups and youth resources in the local area, while the Voyage Generation via the Voyage atlas header serves the same purpose but further a field. The result expected is to raise a house, a temple of praise from the foundation up, as massive gospel response to the glory of God to answer the challenge of the principalities and powers of wickedness. We the youth are this sleeping giant that is now arising!
Wrap up – What’s the way forward from the present?
In summary at Gate House Furaha we are persuaded of the outpouring of God’s Spirit in these last days where the harvest is ripe and those that labor are few. Our prayer as we prepare in doing all the above and much not mentioned here is that the Lord of the harvest will send us out as youth with the message of the cross burning in our hearts in mass and with the demonstration of His Holy Spirit’s power [1 cor 1:18, 2:5] Amen! Please join us as we seek and pray for the release of our besieged fellow youth to enjoy the Joy (Furaha) of the lord. Pray also for the current need to co-operate house to house to augment the efforts of all existing youth platforms in accomplishing the Lord Jesus Christ’s mission and vision as youth across all localities. If you share these sentiments know that there is someone like you at Gate House Furaha.
